Except Disctrict 9 was a good movie... a great movie actually.
That's probably true, but so is the fact that they don't need to release an overpowered system. If anything, the current generation has proven that releasing such a system might actually be a bad business policy.
I've seen doom and gloom articles preceding a console's release before, but I think this is the first time I've seen one such article preceding the system's announcement. *sigh*
The community in that website worships Apple, generally likes Microsoft and hates Sony with a passion. Just check the comments for any review, preview or hands-on of a Sony product.
The author of the review is just trying to please the crowds.
If he had a non-compete clause in his contract that prevented him from advertising anything related to gaming products not manufactured by Sony, than he absolutely had to see this one coming!
The commercials Jerry Lambert did for Sony are probably the reason why Bridgestone noticed him in the first place. The conflict of interests is obvious!
We don't have all the details of how the different companies involved in this matter interacted with each other (i...
@ Gran Touring - The GTX660ti easily outclasses the 7850, but it consumes more power and it's considerably more expensive. I think you're confusing the 7850 with the 7870 (which is still slightly cheaper than the GTX660ti where I live).
While I don't agree that it's good to see nvidia failing to beat AMD for value (I would be very glad to see any manufacturer offering better performance for a lower price), as a 7850 owner myself, I can tell you that it's definitely one of the best price/performance cards of the moment.
You're not the only one. Have you seen the user score for this game on metacritic? Ouch!

I would say this generation ends when manufacturers and developers shift their focus to new hardware and the rate of software being published on the old platforms drops significantly.
If you really want to get technical about it, you could say the generation ends when the manufacturers stop producing the hardware, or when the publishers stop releasing software.
Do those answers fall within your sarcastic expectations?
I'm surprised they had the guts to be honest with this game and speak their minds about it. Didn't think gamespot had it in them to resist publisher/developer pressure. Considering their track record and all...
Personally, I would give RE6 a 5 or a 6/10 at best. The game feels uninspired, and after 2 hours I still couldn't get around the controls.
The PS2 had quantity *AND* quality.
Your long term memory is just a little rusty.
I wish I could share your enthusiasm, but in my opinion, the new movies are very much inferior to the original anime from 1995. Such wasted potential...
Still better than most of the stuff that gets released these days, though.
Insane DRM, day-1 DLC, digital downloads at full retail price that you don't really own, and the quest for the next gimmick.
Oh, I can see exactly where the industry is heading... And I sure as hell don't like it! Most likely, I will not be an early adopter for the next generation of systems.
Anarchy Reigns hasn't been released outside of Japan. For all we know, it could turn into a sleeper hit.
Sharper, but less colorful.
And to achieve a 16:9 aspect ratio, they cut the image vertically instead of expanding it horizontally.
I'm disappointed with this game, particularly after seeing ZOE HD.
lol
Oh, it gets better! Here's the extended quote: "The addition of this new model just shows that Sony is running out of ways to compete with Nintendo and Microsoft. While the next generation XBOX is already in development and the Wii U is slated for release this holiday season, all they can do is wave around a brand new model that has the exact same capabilities as their older Slim version."
So, according to the author, this holiday season people will buy the Wii ...
I would say split-screen is a far lesser deal on the PS3 than it is on your platform of choice, considering the FREE ONLINE and all.
I distinctively remember Persona 4 Arena having online issues on one of the consoles it was released on. I just can't remember which console it was. Can anyone help me with that one?... /s
We already have a superb, nearly arcade perfect port of Daytona USA on XBLA/PSN. Plus the Dreamcast version wasn't really very good.
However, I would kill for ports of Daytona USA 2, Sega Rally, Sega Rally 2 and Scud Race with the same level of quality.
Also, Panzer Dragoon and Panzer Dragoon Zwei would be nice.
